DWeb Camp 2026: Root Systems

A five-day gathering in nature for builders and dreamers dedicated to building a decentralized web — private, resilient, and beyond the control of a few central powers.

DWeb Camp 2026 leaves Northern California to meet at Alte Hölle, an ancient forest an hour southwest of Berlin — not to disconnect from the world, but to rethink how it is connected. The camp invites participants to build technologies that, like living ecosystems, adapt, regenerate, and endure.

Since 2016, DWeb — an independent project founded by the nonprofit Internet Archive — has gathered builders, researchers, activists, artists, educators, and families to connect deeply and build systems that actualize principles of trust, human agency, mutual respect, and ecological awareness.
